real-world Tomcat project

About this tutorial

In Part 1 of this series seems to make you install Exchange System, and remote management to build the world. In this tutorial, learn to build a project in the real world: Jakarta Tomcat. Tomcat is one of the most successful open source projects in the world. The servlet engine is used in a manufacturing environment in small and large deployments.

Goals

Welcome to the second day. In this tutorial, to learn:
Build Tomcat from scratch.
Automatically using the contact made​​.
Develop and manage the Tomcat deployment.
Add a feature to automatically customize the parameters.
Download a live version of the Tomcat code repository.
Configured to call periodically to update the code, Czech, and create accordingly.


Prerequisites

It is assumed that you have completed Part 1 in this series. It also assumes that you understand some of the technology to build applications based on Java ™. For us not to believe, but it is written in Java on the Tomcat project. Experience with Apache Ant, and Subversion is useful but not required.
